Martin Edling

Thanks for checking in and welcome to my small corner of everything!

My passion is to connect with nature by collecting a few moments of light from some of all the great places around us. A landscape can be completely transformed in just a few seconds only because of how the sun lands on the side of a mountain or how the light suddenly creates new unexpected shadows. These are the moments I wish and try to capture here.

Some stuff I use:

Nikon D810

Nikon 14-24mm 2.8

Nikon 24-70mm 2.8

Nikon 24-120mm 4.0

Nikon 70-200mm 2.8

Nisi filters

Gitzo tripod

I probably use my wide angle zoom for 80% of my work. There are fixed lenses that perform marginally better but for me that is made up by the flexibility provided by the zoom when you are in a location where moving around is sometimes tricky. I recently changed to Nisi filters, mainly to have a simpler set up with my wide angle zoom. The optical quality of the Nisi filters has proven very good so far. I use Lightroom to bring in the photos and to do some level of processing. Most images are finalized in Photoshop which provides a greater level of control in the detailed processing. In my photography and post processing I always try to stay true to the original scene as I interpreted it.
